Beausirebohsung is a Berlin based design studio.
We are Zoé Beausire, photographer, and Sascha Bohsung, designer.
We design and make the leather notebooks by hand in our Berlin workshop.
We carry out every step of the production ourselves: from the choice of raw material to the final product.
Our vegetable-tanned leather comes from a European company that has been specialising in vegetable-tanning since 1873.
Vegetable tanning (without chemicals) preserves the natural structure and smoothness of the hide and also gives the leather a pleasurable fragrance. This process is ecofriendly.
The paper refills are also made in a Berlin bookbindery. The high-quality, uncoated, fine paper is environmentally friendly and has an FSC ecolabel certification.
